Tory Lanez Sentenced To A Shocking 10-Year Prison Sentence

On Tuesday (August 8), a Los Angeles judge officially sentenced “Say It” rapper Tory Lanez to ten years in prison for the alleged shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Tory Lanez sentencing setbacks…

Previously, Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, court dates were constantly setback after the initial sentencing date for February of this year. Peterson attempted to file a motion for a new trial in March, but was denied.

What were the terms of both parties for Lanez arrest?

On the contrary, Megan and her legal team requested that Tory Lanez serve a 13-year prison sentence because of three violations of pre-trial court order and humiliation of Megan.

On the other hand, Lanez and his legal team requested to settle the case with probation or three years in prison and mandatory rehab for reasons relating to Lanez’s alcohol addiction and childhood trauma.

Why sentence Tory Lanez to 10 years in prison?

Prior to sentencing, Lanez was held in jail without bond after being found guilty on December 23, 2022 of three felony firearm counts after fired shots that led to Megan Thee Stallion’s foot injury following Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and Kelsey Harris, who was is Megan’s former friend and assistant, departure from a Hollywood Hills party at Kylie Jenner’s home.

Although there was no evidence of Lanez DNA on the gun that was used in the shooting, Lanez was convicted on one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
