NBA Suspends Draymond Green

Golden State Warriors Draymond Green has been suspended for the next five games.

According to the NBA, Green “forcibly grabbed” Rudy Gobert around the neck during Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sources reports the fight started within the opening two minutes of the match when Warriors guard Klay Thompson and Minnesota forward Jaden McDaniels got into a tussle, throwing each other around by their jerseys. Players from both teams ran to the altercation, which lead to Green putting Gobert in a headlock.

As a result, Green, McDaniels and Thompson were removed from the game on Tuesday.

However, the NBA explained that because of Green’s extensive suspension record and his “history of unsportsmanlike acts,” he received a 5 game suspension without pay. Green will forfeit $769,970 as a result of the altercation.

On the other hand, Thompson, Gobert and McDaniels received a $25,000 fine for their involvement in the fight.

When Will Draymond Green Return?

Draymond Green will return to the court on November 29 at the Sacramento Kings.
