Sha’Carri Richardson Wins Title for Fastest Woman in the World!

Olympic athlete Sha’Carri Richardson added her name to the history books on Monday (August 21). Sha’Carri Richardson sprinted the women’s 100-meter in 10.65 seconds at the track-and-field world championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Richardson took the “fastest woman” title over renowned Jamaican competitors Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

It seems Sha’Carri has made peace with the 2021 cannabis-use incident that restricted her from competing at the Tokyo Olympics and, instead, used it to fuel her groundbreaking return.

“I’m not worried about the world anymore. I’ve seen the world be my friend. I’ve seen the world turn on me. At the end of the day, I’ve always been with me. God has always been with me. So being on this scale now, it’s my time.

It’s always been my time, but not it’s my time to actually do it for myself, and the people that know the truth about themselves as well. I represent those people.”
