J.Cole Claims He Didn’t Like Soulja Boy On Lil Yachty’s Podcast
A new episode of Lil Yachty and Mitch’s A Safe Place Podcast hit YouTube on Friday with a special guest appearance from ‘Love Yourz’ rapper J.Cole.
The 2-hour episode touched on J.Cole’s musical influences.
Further into the interview, Cole mentioned Soulja Boy’s name while speaking on his musical inspirations. Cole claimed that he wasn’t initially a fan of Soulja Boy, but he later learned to appreciate Soulja’s contributions to the Hip-Hop genre.
“I turned from a hater to an appreciator. Like, what can I find that’s amazing about this? What can I find that’s good about this? What can I find that’s going on?
That sh*t changed me as an artist. I became a better artist.”

Soulja Boy Warns J.Cole Not To “Speak On” Him
However, Soulja, also known as Draco, did not take appreciation to Cole’s opinion of his impact on the music industry. Draco responded to J.Cole’s comments about him, via Twitter, warning Cole “don’t speak on me.”
“Aye bruh don’t speak on me @JColeNC I’m not lil pump, drake, or none of these rapper nig*az. On God”

Soulja Blasts J.Cole On Instagram Live
Soulja also went live on Instagram ranting about the topic making it clear that they are in two different lanes musically and that other artists have been “hating on him his whole career” and it rubs him the wrong way.
